Topics & Why is it difficult to teach?

Our topics:

  • Primary Topic: Conscience

  • Second Topic: Infinity

Concept

Why is the concept difficult to teach?

Justice

(Adalet)

It is an abstract and subjective concept. Everyone's understanding of justice is different. There are cultural differences. People's mentality is affected by many factors, such as the environments in which they were born and raised, environmental factors, etc., and the idea of justice is shaped differently.

Infinity (Sonsuzluk)*

The human brain is limited, and infinity has no end or limit. That's why it's challenging to understand and experience something eternal fully.

Fate(Kader)*

It is an abstract concept. It is difficult to detect. It is difficult to realize what humankind's and God's choices are.

Maths (Matematik)

Essentially, it requires abstract thinking. It requires logic, and logic itself is abstract.

Freedom (Özgürlük)

It is difficult because everyone understands freedom differently. It is an abstract and subjective concept. It may vary depending on many factors, such as environmental factors.

Conscience (Vicdan)*

It is an internal and personal concept. It is affected by everything a person experiences and everything he thinks.

*Fate, Infinity, and Conscience, we were torn between these three, but then Conscience became the main topic, and Infinity became the second topic.

The story explores the duo's confrontation with the past, forgiveness, and the theme of starting anew, narrating an emotional transformation.

Teaching Difficulties

  1. Involuntary Decision-Making: Teaching conscience involves addressing the involuntary nature of decision-making. Students might grapple with decisions influenced by their conscience, shaped by societal and cultural factors beyond their immediate control.

  2. Distinguishing from Empathy and Compassion: Conscience is often confused with empathy and compassion. Educators face the challenge of helping students understand and differentiate these concepts, ensuring a nuanced comprehension of moral decision-making.

  3. Cultural Variations: The concept of conscience varies across cultures, adding complexity to the teaching process. Educators must adopt culturally sensitive approaches to convey the universality of moral principles while respecting diverse cultural perspectives.

  4. Emotion-Centric Nature: Conscience is deeply rooted in human emotions, making it challenging to connect to rigid logical rules. GBS for conscience education must navigate the emotional landscape, fostering a deep understanding of moral decision-making beyond logical constructs.

  5. Religious Correlation: While conscience may be correlated with religion, it is crucial to distinguish between the two. Teaching conscience requires educators to navigate discussions on morality that may intersect with religious beliefs, promoting respect for diverse perspectives.

  6. Observational Difficulties: Conscience, being an attitude of social psychology, is challenging to observe directly. Educators must rely on indirect indicators and foster an environment where students feel comfortable expressing and reflecting on their moral reasoning.

Hero's journey in our callback scenario

  1. 1st scenario for conscience (Our main story) (Crossroads):

  • The Ordinary World: Dr. David Bell, who works at Medlife Hospital in America, is very talented despite his young age and is mentioned as the future of the hospital.

  • The Call to Adventure: One day, two cases requiring emergency surgery come to Medlife Hospital within a short time. Whichever Dr. David Bell undergoes surgery on will most likely survive. Dr Bell has to make a decision.

  • Refusal of the Call: Dr. Bell bows to the bureaucracy at the hospital and chooses to operate on the famous senator who comes second, even though he doesn't actually want to do it.

  • Meeting Mentor: We do not encounter the mentor in the early parts of the scenario. However, in the later part of the scenario, when Dr Bell is not feeling well psychologically, his aunt Mrs Sully, the person he trusts the most, steps in. Perhaps he stands by Dr. Bell in his most difficult moments and offers him his vast knowledge.

  • Crossing the Threshold: One year after the first incident, the same thing happens again. Dr. Bell is faced with a child who needs emergency surgery and a board member. This time, Dr. Bell does not listen to the bureaucracy and acts as he wishes. He thinks that the child has a long life ahead of him and saves the child.

  • Tests, Allies, and Enemies: Dr Bell has to make difficult decisions many times at Medlife Hospital. He is a person who wants to save everyone, that's why he became a surgeon, but these difficult choices haunt him throughout the scenario. The situations he faces, especially in the later parts of the scenario, are not situations that everyone can handle. The only friend who is with Dr Bell in these situations is his aunt, Mrs Sully. The people who try to bring down Dr. Bell are the former hospital administrators, who later died, and Detective Wolfe, who has been suspicious of Dr. Bell for years. Dr. Bell is not sure whether the young boy whose life was saved, who we later learned was a murderer, was a friend or an enemy.

  • The Approach: After saving the child and the death of the board member, Dr Bell falls out of favor with the hospital. He no longer has any privileges at the hospital, funding for his research has been withdrawn, and he is forced to work long and difficult shifts. Dr. Bell relieved his mind by saving the child, but he was starting to get very worn out physically.

  • The Ordeal: 10 years after the death of the three people at the head of the hospital, Dr. Bell comes across the child he operated on. He says that he is the murderer of those 3 people, and he did this as a way of thanking Dr. Bell. The fact that Dr. Bell came to the child every day and complained about those 3 people pushed the child to kill them. So at least that's what Dr Bell begins to think. And he enters the most painful phase of his life. Because Dr. Bell, a surgeon with the motto of saving everyone, learns that a person he saved killed 3 other people, and he thinks that he is the cause of those deaths.

  • The Reward: Faced with two choices, Dr. Bell decides not to go to the police but confides in his trusted aunt, Mrs. Sully, a psychologist. Mrs. Sully provides the emotional support needed for Dr. Bell to cope with the trauma.

  • The Road Back: Dr. Bell, with the help of his aunt, overcomes the emotional turmoil caused by the revelation. The young man, now in need of emergency surgery, returns, presenting Dr. Bell with a new moral dilemma.

  • Resurrection: Dr. Bell faces the moral decision of whether to save the young man who may have caused the deaths of others. He chooses to operate but refrains from involving the police, grappling with the weight of his choices and the uncertainty of the young man's future actions.

  • Return with the Elixir: Dr. Bell continues his life, haunted by the moral complexity of his actions. The story concludes with the unresolved question of whether the young man will reform or relapse, leaving Dr. Bell in a state of moral ambiguity.

  1. 2nd scenario for conscience (Forget The Past):

  • The Ordinary World: Michael, a young Mexican math teacher, starts teaching in Chicago, where racial tensions among students are high, and gangs are formed along racial lines.

  • The Call to Adventure: Witnessing a violent altercation between Korean and African-American students, Michael feels compelled to address the deep-rooted racism in his classroom.

  • Refusal of the Call: Initially overwhelmed and frustrated by the students' resistance, Michael contemplates the difficulty of the task ahead but decides to take action.

  • Meeting Mentor: Inspired by the movie "Freedom Writers" Michael finds guidance and motivation from the teacher in the film, deciding to implement strategies to unite his divided classroom.

  • Crossing the Threshold: Michael introduces interactive and empathy-building activities to break down racial barriers, starting with group work, discussions, and project-based learning.

  • Tests, Allies, and Enemies: Michael faces challenges as students mock his efforts, but he gains allies among those willing to participate in the "We Unite in Our Conscience" project. Some students, however, remain resistant.

  • The Approach: Michael deepens understanding among students by sharing his own story and encouraging them to share their experiences through the project, fostering empathy and connection.

  • The Ordeal: The "We Unite in Our Conscience" project brings forth emotional stories from students like Maria, Malik, and Lily, revealing the struggles they face and breaking down prejudices.

  • The Reward: The classroom atmosphere improves as students develop respect and empathy for each other, creating a more positive learning environment.

  • The Road Back: To make a more profound impact, Michael conducts individual meetings, organizes empathy-focused activities, and encourages participation in social responsibility projects.

  • Resurrection: The ongoing initiatives lead to deeper connections among students, fostering a culture of solidarity and mutual support within the classroom.

  • Return with the Elixir: Michael's focus on emotional intelligence and social skills, along with the "Uniting in Our Conscience" project, successfully reduces racism, creating a supportive and understanding community within the classroom.

  1. 3rd scenario for conscience (Peace of Conscience):

  • The Ordinary World: Pablo's ordinary world is one of privilege and wealth, living in a well-off family with his mother facing kidney failure.

  • The Call to Adventure: The doctor's grim news about his mother's condition and the urgent need for a compatible kidney is the call to adventure for Pablo.

  • Refusal of the Call:Despite the initial devastation, Pablo's father brings a glimmer of hope by revealing a suitable donor for his mother, potentially refusing the call to face the dire situation.

  • Meeting Mentor: Pablo's father serves as a mentor figure, providing hope and a solution to the impending tragedy by revealing the availability of a suitable kidney donor.

  • Crossing the Threshold: The successful surgery marks the crossing of the threshold, with Pablo's mother's life saved, but this event will later become a pivotal point in the story.

  • Tests, Allies, and Enemies: Pablo grows into a successful businessman, establishing himself as an ally to his family. However, he becomes an unwitting enemy to David when he demands his dismissal from the restaurant.

  • The Approach: Pablo's demand for David's dismissal sets the stage for a confrontation and begins the emotional and professional challenges for David.

Story

Conscience

  • 1st scenario for conscience (Our main story) (Crossroads):

Entrance story: Dr David Bell is a surgeon at MedLife Hospital in Washington, USA. He is said to be the best surgeon in the hospital and is loved by everyone. The most difficult surgeries are always given to Dr. Bell and everyone trusts him. If he continues like this, he will soon become the chief doctor. But one day, an event occurs that will change Dr. Bell's life and give him a rollercoaster of emotions. Let's see how Dr. Bell will manage this incident, will he compromise his personality and change when he is in a difficult situation, or will he remain loyal to the principles he believes in?

One day, two very urgent cases requiring surgery come to Medlife Hospital. The first person to arrive at the hospital is a construction worker. A heavily loaded piece of scaffolding fell on him during construction. 10 minutes after the construction worker, a senator having a heart attack arrives at the hospital. He also needs urgent surgery. Dr Rogers, the hospital's owner and head doctor, calls Dr Bell and assigns him to operate on the senator. Dr. Bell immediately prepares and goes into surgery. The surgery is completed successfully and the senator survives. As Dr. Bell happily leaves the operating room, he encounters a woman and a small child. The woman looks at Dr. Bell and says, "Why didn't you operate on my husband, even though it was his right and we came first? Is it because we are poor or because no one knows our name? My husband is no more here, he went to heaven and was saved. Because as long as there are people like you, this world is nothing but hell!” Dr Bell did not even know that the construction worker was in the hospital, and what the woman said touched him deeply. Dr. Bell, who puts the responsibility for this on himself, enters a period that is good for his career but bad for his psychology. Because he saved the senator's life, there was a lot of good television news about Dr. Bell and Medlife hospital, and a lot of donations were made to Medlife hospital. Dr. Bell, who is on the rise in his career, is entering a psychologically challenging period. Because he knew that he could definitely save the construction worker, but he did not operate on him.

Dr. Bell wonders if such events have happened before in this hospital and goes to the records archive. It looks for patients whose arrival times at the hospital are close to each other. He finds 2 patients who came to the hospital 3 years ago. The first patient is dead and the second patient is alive. While investigating the doctor who operated on the second patient, he sees that he resigned after this incident. He gets the doctor's number and calls him. Dr Lucia picks up the phone. Dr. Bell explains why he called. Dr Lucia also tells her own story. While he was actually supposed to operate on the first patient, he was forced to operate on the second patient. Because patient 2 is the hospital's donor. Saying that she resigned rather than work in such a hospital, Dr Lucia hangs up the phone. Dr Bell understands the situation and wants to change it.

Approximately 1 year after this, the same incident occurred again at Medlife hospital. Two patients who need urgent surgery are brought to the hospital 10 minutes apart. The person who arrived at the hospital first was an unidentified child. He was shot in the head and miraculously did not die. The only doctor who can perform this difficult surgery and remove that bullet from the skull was Dr. Bell. He immediately started preparations for surgery. Just as he was about to enter the operating room, another person came to the hospital. This man was a board member of Medlife Hospital and was badly injured in a traffic accident and lost a lot of blood. Dr Rogers, the owner of the hospital, called Dr Bell and asked him to operate on Mr Bones. Dr. Bell's entire life in the last year passed before his eyes. He saved the senator by listening to the hospital management, thus the hospital and Dr. Bell's career was on the rise. But over the past year Dr. Bell couldn't sleep well, had nightmares at night and was not at peace. (there are 2 choices, if Dr Bell chooses to operate on the board member, the other child dies. Dr. Bell begins to experience psychological problems and questions life. Although his career is on the rise because he listens to the hospital management, he can no longer concentrate on his profession and can no longer work as a good and willing doctor as he used to. The player is directed to the selection screen again to see the other ending.) He finally made a decision. No matter what, he would bring that child in need back to life. He was just a child and had a whole life ahead of him. Dr. Bell could never take credit for him, he had to keep the child alive. He underwent surgery on the child. The surgery was very difficult, but he succeeded. He removed the bullet from the child's skull and the child clung to life. Meanwhile, news of death came from the other operating room. Mr. Bones was dead. Although Dr. Bell was relieved spiritually, the wrath of the hospital administration awaited him.

The surviving child recovered within 3 months, thanks to physiotherapy and care at the hospital. He was now able to perform all his human functions. Dr. Bell was always with the child during his recovery and clinging to life, he took care of the child. He was very happy to save a child's life. But these happy times soon came to an end. One by one, the hospital management was taking back the privileges they had given to Dr Bell. They no longer treated him as if he were the best doctor, they gave him the heaviest shifts and did not invite him to meetings. There was no longer a prominent Dr Bell in the hospital. The only thing that made him strong was the love of the patients he healed.

One day, a strange incident occurred in the hospital. The child Dr Bell saved could not be found in the hospital. They searched everywhere, inside and outside the hospital and the surrounding neighborhood. But the child disappeared. Everyone thought this child had been kidnapped. But why did anyone do this? As Dr. Bell returned home sadly, there were many question marks in his mind. He was worried about the child. That day went like this.

The next day, news was published that shocked the whole of America. Founder of Medlife Hospital Dr Rogers, chairman of the board Dr. Irwin and deputy chairman Dr House were found dead in their home. According to forensic reports, they were all killed in the same way, something they ate had poisoned them. It was said in the news that this was an assassination case. Dr Bell was as shocked as everyone else. Even though he didn't like them because of their evil inside, it bothered Dr Bell that they died like this. Dr Bell looks at the camera footage to track down the killer. The day before the 3 people died, he checks who entered their meeting room. The hospital floor attendant, Dr. Rogers' secretary, and a boy whose face is obscured because he is wearing a hoodie. Dr. Bell has doubts about the child. The files of the hospital floor attendant and the secretary were handed over to the police for examination. Mr Wolfe examines the files. Mr Wolfe is the detective assigned to this case.

Medlife Hospital had to recover quickly after this incident. The board of directors that had stripped Dr Bell of all his privileges and forced him to work in poor conditions was no longer there. With the majority vote, Dr Bell now became the chief doctor of Medlife Hospital. Dr. Bell, who was happy and honored by this decision, could now act as he wanted in the hospital and take better care of his patients. Everyone in the hospital loved him very much because he was a good-hearted person. But in the past, they could not spend time with Dr Bell because they were afraid of being fired.

10 years had passed since Dr Bell became chief doctor. Medlife Hospital was experiencing the best period in its history. Dr Bell accepted all the praise. Without him, the hospital would not have achieved such growth. One day, Mr Wolfe came Medlife Hospital. Since the murderer could not be found, a decision of non-prosecution was issued for the file. Since Mr. Wolfe was a perfectionist, he could never accept this decision and searched for the murderer of this incident for years. He was still trying to solve this case during his own vacation time, in the time left over from other cases. He was a complete workaholic. There was a doubt in his mind, and this doubt had grown over the years. Who benefited the most from the deaths of these 3 people at the head of Medlife Hospital? Of course, it worked for Dr Bell. Before those 3 people died, Dr. Bell was working under very difficult conditions. But after they died, Dr Bell suddenly took over the hospital. He wanted to pursue this idea and spoke to Dr Bell many times, but could never accuse Dr Bell because he had no evidence.

On the evening of the day Detective Wolfe arrived at the hospital, Dr. Bell was on his way home after work. There was no one around and it was a gloomy atmosphere. A young, handsome boy was coming towards him. As the child passed by Dr. Bell, he asked a direct question: "Are you happy with your life?" Dr. Bell was surprised and asked, "Who are you?" The child gave the following answer. ''We are the architects of each other's lives. You created me from scratch, and I saved you from that shitty life.'' Dr Bell still couldn't make sense of it. He still couldn't figure out who the boy was and asked again who he was. The boy replied: "My name never existed for you. You loved me anonymously, you looked after me and saved me. So it doesn't matter who I am. Are you happy with your life? I could hear you when I was unconscious. You came to me every day and talked about your days. You were talking about how they treated you badly, how they tortured you psychologically. That's why I wanted to save you from that life. I didn't want to be in debt to you. I deleted those who treated you badly from this world..." After hearing these words, Dr Bell could not believe what he had heard. The boy standing in front of him was the boy whose life he saved. With these words, he understood why he disappeared that day, why those 3 people died the next day, and why his life had been going so well for the last 10 years. Lightning was flashing in Dr Bell's head. He was experiencing hundreds of different emotions at the same time and could not put his thoughts together. Someone he saved with his own hands was standing in front of him and telling him that he had killed 3 different people. This was the first thing Dr Bell would never want in life. Dr. Bell, who was depressed for a year because of the dead construction worker, was not able to handle this incident. He was very afraid. Even though the person standing before him was a former patient, he was also a cold-blooded killer. Realizing that the deaths of those 3 people were due to his own complaints, Dr. Bell came to a point where his conscience was exhausted. That young man thanked Dr Bell and walked away. They were even now.

After this part, the story splits into two.

Way 1: Dr Bell goes to the police and tells everything. Then Detective Wolfe says that Dr. Bell made everything up, that he is actually mentally ill, and that he killed those 3 people 10 years ago. He says that Dr. Bell has benefited the most from this incident for 10 years. Dr Bell is arrested. It is said that there is no record of the child Dr Bell saved anywhere, they decide that the child does not physically exist and Dr Bell is imprisoned.

Way 2: Dr. Bell thinks that if he tells the police about this boy, whose name he does not even know, they will suspect that he is crazy, and he is worried that they will put him in jail. That's why he doesn't go to the police. Realizing that he cannot get through this on his own, Dr Bell goes to the person he trusts the most, his aunt Mrs Sully. When Bell's father passed away, Mrs Sully undertook his education expenses and was a person who loved Bell very much. Dr. Bell trusts his aunt, who is a good person, and tells him the whole incident. His aunt, a psychologist, provides him with support and helps him get over the incident. (Expert videos will be here.)

1.5 years have passed. Dr. Bell, who can overcome this incident, good or bad, continues his life. One day, a patient who needs emergency surgery comes to the hospital. Everyone calls Dr Bell. Dr. Bell is shocked when he sees the patient. Because the patient is the young man he encountered 1.5 years ago. 3 bullets hit his body. Dr Bell faces a difficult decision. Will he be able to bring this young man responsible for the deaths of at least 3 people back to life? If this young man comes back to life, will he kill anyone again? If he heals him and hands him over to the police, will the case be solved? Or would they still consider Dr Bell guilty due to lack of evidence? Would they consider Dr Bell crazy?

There are again 2 ways here.

Way 1: Dr. Bell does not want to operate on the young man and asks another doctor to perform the surgery. Dr. Bell does not want to bring the murderer he created with his own hands back to life. Even though this was against his own life principles, he made a firm decision. He doesn't want that person to live.

Way 2: Despite everything, Dr. Bell saves the young man, but does not dare to go to the police. If he goes to the police, he will be thrown into jail for nothing. That's why he fulfills his duty as a doctor, keeps all his feelings inside and spares the young man's life. Dr. Bell, who thought that he had created a murderer with his own hands in the last 1.5 years, now thinks that he has cured that murderer. Will he be crushed under the weight of this situation? How can he handle this in conscience?

  • 2nd scenario for conscience (Forget The Past):

Michael, the young Mexican math teacher, embarked on a journey to transform his challenging classroom into a hub of unity and understanding. His commitment to goal-based learning was evident as he sought to foster not only academic growth but also emotional intelligence and social skills among his students. Inspired by the film "Freedom Writers," Michael devised a strategic plan to tackle racism within his classroom.

To begin with, Michael implemented interactive teaching methods such as group work, discussions, and project-based learning. These activities were designed to encourage communication among students, breaking down the barriers that had previously separated them along racial lines. By actively participating in collaborative projects, students learned to appreciate each other's strengths and perspectives, laying the foundation for a more inclusive environment.

Recognizing the importance of cultural understanding, Michael organized activities that allowed students to explore different backgrounds and perspectives. He shared his own personal story, creating a connection with the students and humanizing the learning experience. This approach helped students appreciate diversity and understand the challenges their peers faced, fostering empathy within the classroom.

The "We Unite in Our Conscience" project took goal-based learning to the next level. Through written expressions of their conflicts and experiences, students gained a platform to share their stories. The powerful narratives of individuals like Maria, Malik, and Lily became a catalyst for breaking down stereotypes and prejudices. By focusing on the shared human experiences beneath surface differences, the project successfully reduced tension in the classroom.

Recognizing the need for a more personal touch, Michael conducted individual meetings with students. These discussions delved into their personal stories, aspirations, and family backgrounds, establishing a deeper connection between the teacher and students. This personalized approach enhanced openness and understanding, contributing to a more supportive learning environment.

The introduction of empathy studies and social responsibility projects further enriched goal-based learning in Michael's classroom. Empathy-focused activities provided students with a platform to express their feelings and understand their peers' experiences. Social responsibility projects not only encouraged teamwork but also instilled a sense of solidarity and community within the class.

Regular feedback and evaluation sessions demonstrated Michael's commitment to continuous improvement. By allowing students to express their feelings and assess the project's impact, he created an environment where everyone had a voice. This iterative feedback loop guided Michael in refining his approach and ensuring the sustained success of the goal-based learning initiatives.

In conclusion, Michael's dedication to goal-based learning transformed his classroom into a thriving community of learners. Through interactive teaching methods, cultural understanding, and the innovative "We Unite in Our Conscience" project, he successfully reduced racism and fostered empathy among students. By incorporating individual meetings, empathy studies, and social responsibility projects, Michael not only addressed the immediate challenges but also laid the groundwork for a holistic and sustainable educational experience.

  • 3rd scenario for conscience (Peace of Conscience):

Pablo, born into opulence, faces the devastating news of his mother's kidney failure. The doctor's grim prognosis hangs heavy on his young shoulders until a slender thread of hope emerges — his father reveals a suitable donor has been found. The successful surgery becomes a pivotal chapter, propelling Pablo into a future where he evolves into a highly successful businessman. Years later, he frequents an upscale restaurant with friends, blissfully unaware of the interconnected destinies about to unravel.

On the other side of prosperity, David navigates the demanding world of a high-end restaurant, fervently saving for his mother's imminent surgery. His aspirations of becoming a chef fuel his daily grind. One ordinary day takes an unexpected turn as David, catering to an elegantly dressed trio, faces undue criticism from one patron, leading to a public rebuke from the chef. Little does he know, Pablo, a regular patron, bears witness to the scene.

In a rash moment, Pablo demands David's immediate dismissal, wielding the threat of tarnishing the restaurant's citywide reputation. The consequences are swift — an envelope from the chef seals David's termination. Devastated, David is thrust into the unpredictable currents of job hunting, a challenge that will shape his future.

Years elapse, and David emerges as a renowned chef, his own restaurant a beacon of culinary excellence in the city. A television interview becomes a poignant platform for him to reflect on the profound impact of his mother's passing due to insufficient funds for her surgery. The host, moved by David's story, inquires about his mother's name — Martha Bell, a name that resonates with unexpected significance.

Meanwhile, in the home of Pablo's mother, they watch the program together. A sudden exclamation escapes her lips, "Oh my God, this can't be true!" Confused, Pablo looks at his mother, who reveals, "Martha Bell is the woman who saved my life, the one who donated her kidney. She's passed away."

Overwhelmed with guilt, Pablo holds himself accountable for the woman who saved his mother losing her life due to him. The weight of this guilt disrupts his sleep. Driven by an unrelenting need to apologize, Pablo makes a reservation at David's restaurant for the following evening. After concluding his meal, he requests to meet the chef. As David approaches the table, he immediately recognizes Pablo. Pablo stands up, his eyes welling with tears. "Hello, I'm Pablo," he says. David replies, "Yes, I know, Mr. Pablo." A tear escapes David's eye. "Please, have a seat," he invites. As they sit, David listens to Pablo's heartfelt apology.

"I learned about your mother's passing from your television interview, and I was deeply saddened. Years ago, my mother was suffering from kidney failure. If a donor hadn't been found, we would have lost her. Thankfully, a donor was found, and that person turned out to be your mother. I owe my mother's life to yours. I don't know how to apologize to you."

"Yes, I know all of this, Pablo. After being unjustly fired, I struggled to find work for a long time. On my mother's last day, I promised her that I would seek revenge on you. My mother recognized you immediately and told me your story. I made a promise to her, and I've let go of my anger towards you. My mother said your mother was a wonderful person. After the surgery, she helped my mother a lot, but they lost contact after a while. My mother forgave you, and so do I. Let your conscience be at peace," David states. Pablo stands up, and they share a heartfelt embrace.
